District News.

RYAL BUSH.

The weather has been very unsettled. We have experienced within the last fortnight severe hailstorms, heavy winds, and intense heat, but through it all farm work has not been kept back very much, and after all it is usual to have a buster some time in October^

The grain crops in most cases were put in early, and are now looking well all over, and we can expect an early harvest if we have a good summer. The farmers are busy getting the ground ready for the turnips. In some cases turnips have been sown. The lambing season was good this year, the percentage running high ail round. Foot-rot has been very prevelant among the sheep about here, which has caused a great deal of extra work.
