THE PREMIER AT AUCKLAND.
Addressing 1 a crowded meeting at Auckland, where he was accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence, the Hon Mr Seddon claimed that since he assumed office the capital value of the colony had increased' by £11,000,000, and the population by 80,000. His administration, he added, was stronger than ever. As for the Opposition, their policy might be described as a 1 wait till the clouds roll by ’ policy. In ‘closing, Mr Seddon spoke of the Old Age Pensions Act, and urged that as it was of a tentative character, the electors should at the next elections see that every candidate, before receiving their support, pledged himself to vote for such a measure.
