THE RIFLE CLUB.
The Southland Rifle Club is con- : templating holding a novel competi- r tion. The conditions suggested are ( that rifles be drawn for, no verniers j or wind guages be used, and no shad- f ing, colouring, or marking the sights in any way be permitted. It will be interesting if not amusing to watch the re c ult. - On Thursday afternoon the Club I fired the first competition for the individual ownership of the Sinclair I trophy, but I was unable to get the result before going to press.
