(By Telegraph.) CHRISTCHURCH. January 15. At the annual district meeting of the Bible Christian Church yesterday, the report of the temperance secretary was presented and discussed. A resolution was carried, deploring the evil effects of the liquor traffic, and urging members to discountenance the use of intoxicants in the community. Another resolution approving of the work done by the Prohibitionist, and commending it to the people’s support, was passed. The following officers were nominated : —The Rev. B. H. Ginger, chairman : Rev. J, G. W. Ellis, chapel secretary; Rev. Mr Quintrell, school secretary; Rev. A. Mitchell, missionary secretary ; Rev. J. Orchard, treasurer. y At the public meeting in the evening the Rev. A. Mitchell was received into full connection, the ordination chai-ge being delivered by the Rev. W. Ready,
