Nothing authentic is known as to the exact reasons for Mr Bibbs’ proposed visit to London, but the assumption cimtained in a cable from London to-day, that his visit is due to an extensive conversion scheme,will probably be found to be true. MURDER AND ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. In the course of their investigation the police discovered a man named MacKov with his throat cut in the vicinity of the quarter where a woman was atrociously murdered on Friday night. He confessed that he had murdered the woman, who was his wife, in a fit of jealousy. Mac* Kow’s wound is not likely to prove fatal. Twenty years ago his brother was hanged in Sydney for a similar offence. A DENIAL. Adelaide, Feb. 7. The Earl of Kintore emphatically denies that he is to be transferred to New
