AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.
A meeting o£ the sub-Committee re Beaper and Binder contest, was held this afternoon. Present—Mr J. C. McKerrow (in the chair), and Messrs W. J. Aplin, J. Campbell and W. Stevenson.
The following entries were received for the contest.
The “ Howard,” entered by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. The “Hornsby,” entered by MrW. Evans.
The “ McCormick," entered by Messrs Priest and Holdgate. The *• Johnston,” entered by Mr A. D. Wells.
The “Walter A. Woods,” entered by Mr Moss Jonas.
The “ Osborne,” entered by Messrs B. Wilkin and Co.
The quantity to be cut will be limited to four acres each competitor. It was arranged that a number of gen. tlemen, as agreed upon, should be asked to officiate as Judges and Marshals respectively. The meeting then terminated.
