HUNTERVILLE NOTES.

(From_ Onr Own Correspondent.) Onr late manager at the Bank of New Zealand, Mr James Chisholm n has been transferred to Mastertou. Miss Oarrathers also takes her departure for the same branch, whilst Mr W. E. Westlake, who was here previously and lias since been in Waihi, will return to our local office shortly. Many of onr local lights visited the Palmerston Show on Thursday, and the town was father quiet in consequence Mr and Mrs George Wilson and family, of Silverhope, leave for Eoxton about the end of the month, having leased their farm. Mrs Macka'y,. also Mrs Sanderson, have received Word that their sons, who have been jfWcty at the war, are returning to ‘New Zealand, and should land about the 30th inst. Heavy colds are very prevalent in the town, somewhat siimlar to the old-fashioned influenza colds.
