From Our Own Correspondent The Rev. Grove having returned from his holidays, the prayers of intercession for those participating in the war, will bo resumed on Thursday evening, from 7.30 to 8 o’clock
At a recent enthusiastic meeting of the sports committee, it was decided to hold the sports, as usual this year, the date appointed being the 13th of March Several handsome trollies have been donated, and the funds raised will bo devoted patriotic work _ Heavy rains wore experienced locally on Monday night, accompanied by a certain amount of thunder and lightning. The weather continues warm and close.
A letter received by a local resident from Ids sou in France states that cigarettes, unless sent to tbe front in airtight tins, are absolutely unsmokeablo on account of being mouldy.
