The! ninth annual Show takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 4th and oth, 1913, and should be more successful than ever, i The membership has increased con- | siderably, and the prize list is a big j one, £1055 being offered in prizes. \ Several ■' of the classes have been I added to. Prizes of £3 and £1 are I offered for best pony stallion, and £4 and £3 for the best troop horse, mare or gelding, to be -ridden by a uniformed Territorial. Cattle breeders will be interested to note that .there are more classes in Holstein Friesians, Hersfords, Jerseys and grade dairy cattle. Last vear a farming journalist, with a statistical tarn of mind, computed that the Show had the biggest entries in j sheep of any Show in the Empire. This year it is intended to go one better, for there are additional classes in Romneys, English Leicester , and Southdowns. Pig ( and horse breeders are well catered ' for. Amateur buttefmakers, gardeners, orchardists, cooks and preserve makers have also some big prizes to win. All entries close on Friday, January 17th, 1918, with the- secretary, Mr E. H. Fisher, who will forward schedules on application.
