SANDON NOTES.

From Our Own Correspondent. The annual public meeting of the | Sandon Public Hall was held at the Town Hall, Sandon, on, Saturday. | Present; Messrs J. Perrett (chair), W. Pearce, A K. Drew, P. Anderson, A. Harris, J. Masters, J ; Croueher, P. Anderson, A. Harris, J. Masters, J. Croueher, F. W. Tos- j tevm and J. Cockburn. A report and balance sheet, which showed a j very successful year’s working, was | read and adopted. It was resolved that the old committee with exception of Mr A. Harris, who wished to retire, be re-elected with the addi- ; tion of Mr F. W. Tostevin. The annual meeting of the Town Hall Committee was held at the Town Hall at the close of the public meeting. Present: Messrs J. Perrett (chair), A. K. Drew, J. Cockburn, W. Pearce, P. Anderson, J. Masters and F. W. Tostevin. Mr J. Perrett was re-elected chairman and Mr J. Cockburn secretary. It was resolved that repairs be done to several of the forms, and that a cupboard' in supper room be erected. A hearty vote of thanks'was accorded to Messrs J. Perrett (chairman), J. Cockburn (secretary), F W. Tostevin (auditor), W. George and P. Bowater for conducting assemblies. The members of St. Thomas's Anglican Church are at present working up a floral fete in aid of the vicarage funds. The function comes off on Wednesday, December 4thj on the Sandon Park. The programme includes a rose and buttonhole show, a home industries competition, driving competitions, etc., in addition to competitions of a decorative nature. Great interest is beihg shown in the affair, and provided the day is fine a large muster j is anticipated. Entries are coming I in freely. j
