The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board has received the following cable from its London Office, dated May 12, advising that the following were the approximate average prices realised for the week:— New Zealand Sheep.—‘Canterbury and North Island' selected crossbred wethers and maiden ewes: 481 b to 561 b Sid, 573 b to ®4lb 3id, 651 b to 721 b 2Sd. North Island crossbred wethers and maiden ewes: 481 b to 561 b 3gd, 571 b to 641 b 2id, 651 b to 721 b 2!d. Ewes: -481 b and under 3gd, 481 b to 641 b 23d, ©slb to 721 b 2gd. New Zealand Lambs.—Canterbury: 361 b and under 53d, 371 b to 42Tb 43d, 431 b to 501 b 4id; second .quality, average 321 b, sgd. Other South Island brands : 361 b and under 53d, 371 b to 421 b 43d, 431 bto sQlb 4id. Selected North Island brands: 361 b and under sid, 371 bto 421 b 43d, 431 bto 501 b 4id; second quality, average 321 b, s!d. Other North Island brands: First quality, 361 b and under sid, 371 b to 421 b 4Sd; second quality, average 321 b, 5 id. New Zealand Prime Porker Pigs.— 601 b to 801 b 4|d, 811 b to 1001 b 4Sd, fOllb to 1201 b 4d. New Zealand Baconer Pigs.—l2olb to 1601 b, 43d. New Zealand Beef.—Ox fores 2d, ox hinds 20d. Lamb Market.—Prices unchanged, but there is a slightly easier tendency. Consumption continues good.

Mutton Market.—Wethers slightly easier, but there is more demand for lightweight at the lower prides. Heavyweight wethers weak and neglected. Ewes easier with trade slow. Beef Market.—Depressed owing to large supplies of chilled beef and also frozen beef from all sources. N.Z. Porker Pigs.—Market dull and easier. N.Z. Baconer Pigs.—Trade slow.
