VALUES AT MORRINSVILLEFat Sheep Show Advance. Prices for fat sheep at the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s Morrinsville sale on Friday were in advance of last sale, while store sheep maintained late rates. Only an average [• number of sheep was yarded. There was a fair yarding of cattle which changed hands at prices on a par with recent quotations. A full yarding of pigs consisted of about 160 baconers, 400 porkers and 200 stores. There were quite a number of unfinished porkers. Competition for baconers was as keen as at ■ | recent Waikato sales, and values were on a par with the Frankton sale. There was a smaller number of stores and weaners than usual, and these showed a slight improvement in price. Cattle. — Medium fat steers, £4 10s. Light fat steers, £2 5s to £4 ss. FRANKTON PRICES. j Baconers in Keen Demand, j I I There was a heavy yarding of all classes of fat sheep and a medium yarding of store sheep at Frankton on Tuesday. Wethers were in usual numbers, and prices remained unchanged. A heavier entry of fat ewes was penned and was sold at late rates. There was an exceptionallyheavy yarding of fat lambs, and prices were very firm at a slight advance on export rates. A good entry of store sheep, comprising chiefly hoggets, changed hands at late ruling values. Ox beef was again in good supply, late quotations being maintained. Cows and heifers were also yarded in heavy numbers, but 'the quality was hardly up to recent yardings. Values remained unaltered. There was a very heavy yarding of fat pigs, with keen competition for baconers. Prices for porkers were slightly firmer than they have been at the last few sales. Choppers also met with a better market.
