IlriggK, who wns on his way to Wellington yesterday, sends us the following telegram from Palmerston North:— Owing to hush fires and slips in the Gorge, the horses hud lo he taken out of the coach, the passengers walking through. One of the coach hor.--.-s fell over the Terrace Hill, and Jones, the driver, narrowly escaped going too. The pa sengers reached Palmerston too late for the Wellington train.
