SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

A meeting of r .he Deep Creek School Committee was held on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs Leahey (in the chair), Diamante, Nelson, Hunter, and Dillon.

Mr Nelson proposed, and Mr Leahey seconded, That Mr H. Seymour be elected a member of the Board of Education, Blenheim. Carried. Mr Diamante proposed, and Mr Hunter seconded, That Mr J. A. Lambert be elected a member of the Board of Education, Blenheim. Carried. Mr Nelson proposed, and Mr Dillon seconded, That three cords of firewood be obtained by the Committee for the school, as the Board had been appealed to in vain by the chairman. Carried. Resolved, That eight chains of fencing was required to fence the school in, and the chairman was instructed to write to the Board's architect, Blenheim re same.
