AUSTRALIAN ARTISANS MR, .). IIODGENS RETURNS (Por Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Mr. J. Hodgcns, M.P., returned by the Awatea to-day after selecting Australian tradesmen for work in New Zealand.

Mr. I-lodgens, said he met nearly 4000 tradesmen looking for work in the Dominion, but the majority were married men who would require homes cn arrival. He expected many of these men to come to New Zealand later. Mr. Hodgens travelled 5000 miles in Australia and interviewed 3700 men. He received wonderful cooperation from the organisations concerned. lie said that lively interest was shown in New Zealand’s housing scheme.
