WEEK OF FORTY HOURS
RETENTION IN FRANCE APPEAL TO WORKERS (Reed. March 23, 9 a.m.) PARIS, March 22. A communique has been issued giving an assurance that the 40-hour week will not be revoked in France. The communique appeals to the patriotism of the workers and asks them to accept the necessary measures. The overtime bonus has been fixed at 10 per cent up to the forty-fifth hour and thereafter at 5 per cent.
