AIR RAID SHELTERS

GERMAN CHANCELLERY BERLIN, Feb. 21. Cellars for protection from air raids being constructed below the Chancellery, Herr Hitler’s headquarters, include garages for more than 200 cars, shelters for several thousands of people, electric kitchens, and elaborate first-aid rooms.

A passage under the Voss strasse connects with the Ministry of Communications. Gun emplacements are ready on the roofs of the Chancellery. Cranes have been installed with which to haul the guns into position immediately it is thought necessary.
