SCOUT MEASLES PATIENT
HAWKE'S BAY BOY
EXPERIENCE ON VOYAGE
(Reed. Dec. 24, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 23.
The member of the New Zealand Boy Scout contingent who contracted measles during the voyage to Sydney was transferred to the Prince Henry Hospital, Sydney, and the remainder of the boys have been sent to Bradfield, where, for the time being, they will foe segregated under medical supervision.
The patient is Bryant May, aged 13 years, of Hawke's Bay.
The boys had the freedom of the ship during the voyage and swarmed like a flock of galahs all over the Awatea and mingled happily with the passengers. Upon the arrival of the liner in Sydney harbour on a bright warm morning the boys were greeted by ferry sirens and the sounding Of the "Cock-a-doodle-doo." Most of the boys suffered from seasickness on their first day out from New Zealand, but thereafter ■they found their sea-legs and their appetites and set the stewards a merry dance.
