CATTLE TRUCK CAPSIZED

COLLISION WITH CAR ANIMALS LOST IX DARK Cattle were thrown out on the roadway when a collision occurred on the Opotiki-Whakatane main highway at Waiotahi, between a 10-wheel truck driven by Mr. A. Abbot, and a car driven by Mr. A. Wavdlaw. After the collision the truck turned ever on its side and the load of cattle fell off and got away in the darkness. They were only found after a long search. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.
