NOTED DESIGNER KILLED PIONEER IN BRITAIN (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, Aug'. 2. , The noted aircraft designer, Cap- ( tain Frank Sowter Barnwell, 0.8. E., was killed at Bristol airport when a monoplane he had designed for priate use crashed shortly after taking >if. Captain Barnwell, who was 58 years of age. was among the earliest aviation experimenters. He served in the Royal Air Force during the Great War.
