Wedding Bells

Bradley—Wright J A very pretty wedding was celebrated in Holy Trinity Church last Saturday morning, when Joan Erica, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Wright, Waikohu, was married to Arthur Gladwin, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bradley, Dominion road, Gisbome, Canon A. F. Hall officiating. Entering the church with her father, the 'bride looked charming in her lovely gown of ivory chenille satin modelled on classical lines with a panel front, a short train at the back slightly niched to the long graceful skirt, and a bolero jacket to match trimmed with touches of gold. Her dainty ivory silk net veil was embroidered in each corner, and held in place with a coronet of orange blossom so arranged to allow the four embroidered corners to show clearly, the veil hanging in filmy folds over the frock. Silver shoes and silk hose to tone, and a beautiful arm sheaf of lilies and roses intermingled with fern completed the bride's picturesque ensemble. Bridesmaids in Flame and Gold The three bridesmaids, Miss Rae Wright, sister of the bride, Miss Jean Bradley, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Patricia Candy wore pretty frocks of flame panne velvet trimmed with touches of gold and modelled on similar lines to the bride's gown. Each bridesmaid carried a ruched velvet muff to match her frock and wore a gold halo finished across thehead in front with a twisted band oi flame velvet; and gold shoes and hose to tone. Attending the bridegroom were Mr. B. Bradley, as best man, and Messrs. A. Webster, and N. Wright, brother of I the bride, as groomsmen. After the service at the church an enjoyable reception was held in Le Grand Cafe, where the guests were received by the parents of the bride and bridegroom. The tables were prettily decorated with spring flowers, pride of place at the bridal table being given to the handsome two-tier wedding cake. The usual toasts were honoured during the wedding-break-fast, 'Mr. A. Webster officiating as chairman. Honeymoon in the North Later in the day the bride and bridegroom left by car en route for the north, the former travelling in a smart frock of henna moss crepe, a henna hat, and a brown fur coat. The bride's mother wore a smart frock of navy blue matalasse cloque, designed with slight ruching in front of the bodice and a V neckline finished with a blue and gold clasp, a-navy blue coat, and hat, shoes and gloves to tone. She carried a lovely bouquet of red and gold mixed flowers. The bridegroom's mother was wearing a smartly tailored brown suit, a wine-coloured toque and furs, and carrying a pretty bouquet of mixed flowers in shades of coral and pink. Miss G. Wright, sister of the bride, wore a self-stripe brown tailored costume with a beige satin front and a brown hat.

A navy blue frock and coat and a hat to match were worn 'by Mrs. S. Vette. Among the guests invited to the reception were Canon and Mrs. A. F.
