GISBORNE APRIL RAINFALL 10IN RECORDED ON 20 DAYS DOUBLE THE AVERAGE Gisborne’s rainfall last month, 10.29 in on 20 days, was the highest total for April for over 60 years. On only one other occasion, in 1929, had Gisborne had so many wet days in April. The 10.29 in was gauged at the harbour signal station, the aerodrome's total being 8.15 in. There were 12 successive wet days towards the end of the month.
