RIFLE CLUB SHOOT (Herald Correspondent.) The Waiapu Defence Rifle Club chose last week-end to have its return match, Town versus Country. The shooting was keen on both sides and Tpwn proved the winners by two points. The shoots were held at 200, 300, and 500yds, the following being the best scores out of the possible, 75 points:—T. Snelling, 60; W. Brownley, Cl; A. Brownley, 63; C. McCracken. 60.
The members of the Country team were:—A. Brownley, W. Brownley, J. Brownley, G. Brownley, J. H. Taplin. G._Herbert, and R. Kemp. The Town team consisted of H. W. Akers, C. McCracken, T. Garth, T. Snelling, A. W. Kirk, D. Harrison, and R. Hitchens. Next week-end the club intends holding a handicap shoot, weather permitting.
Mr. A. Ferguson, of the Ruatoria Post Office staff, left yesterday on an extended tour of the North Island —Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Littlejohn and family have arrived home after a very enjoyable holiday spent campiftg.
