The summer meeting of the Wellington Trotting Club opened to-day when, in fine weather, some very good racing was witnessed on a track which has never been faster. The attendance for an off day was good. The totalisator handled £16,299, against £14,106 10s on the first day last year, an increase of £2192 10s. Results were as follows:
