Muriwai

The August meeting of the Muriwai Women's Institute was held at the residence oi' Mrs. R. W. Coop with a fair attendance of members and two visitors, Mrs. C. 11. Williams, the president,' being in the chair.

Mrs. Armstrong gave a very interesting demonstration on hair setting. An exchange of recipes was the roll call. Mrs. Spence, a visitor, was asked to judge the competition, a bowl of flowers, the results being:—Mrs. C. H. Williams, 1; Mrs. M. Gordon, 2; Mrs. W. Dai ley, 3.

A vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs. Coop for the use of her home. The hostesses were Mesdames M. Gordon and H. Adair.
