Staff Sergeant-Major L. R. Stichbury and Company Sergeant-Major H. R. Heiford, who were members of the New Zealand Coronation contingent, were entertained at dinner last evening by members of the Gisborne Thirty Thotsand Club. An opportunity was taken by Mr. James Chrisp, on behalf of the executive, to convey the compliments of the Gisborne organisation to the district representatives in the contingent. The guests made brief responses, intimating that they had esteemed highly the privilege of inclusion in the contingent, arid outlining some of the major experiences through which they had pfissed. The impression that they had taken part in ceremonies such I as no other nation could rival was | one of the abiding recollections of the tour, they assured their hosts.
