MAORI GIRL'S ORDEAL
THREE DAYS IN OPEN DISCOVERY NEAR HOME CLAD IN THIN DRESS (Por Press Association.) WHANGAREI, this day. Missing from her home at Kerikeri since Sunday, a Maori girl, Celia Kingi, aged 12 years, was located by Constable Ryan yesterday sheltering under a large sack within a mile 01 her home.
She had had no food since leaving home, and was in a dazed condition. She was without shoes or stockings, and was clad in a thin print dress only. The cold weather took heavy toll* of the child's 'strength. She was taken to the Kawakawa Hospital.
