ELECTION OF OFFICERS ANNUAL MEETING HELD PR ESI DENT REAPPOINT ED Elections for all executive i.osto 'n the Cosmopolitan Club was held on Saturday evening at the annual general meeting and smoke concert of the club. Mr. J. J. Macdonald, who occupied the post of president for the past year, /'retained his office against a counter-nomination, and in a contest for the vice-presidency Mr. C. Batson was successful. No fewer than 14 nominations were received for the five seats available on the executive committee,' and the following were successful in the poll: Messrs. T. W. Lighton, F. C. Ellis, T. Haisman, S. E. Grant and G. N. Lockett.

The smoke concert was voted one of the finest entertainments in a long series given year by year at the club premises, the orchestra under the leadership of Mr. T. W. Lighton making many contributions to an outstanding programme.
