HOUSE CONSTRUCTION
GOVERNMENT SCHEMES MORE TENDERS ACCEPTED (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Cabinet has approved the acceptance of tenders for the construction of 12 houses at Masterton, and as soon as the necessary formalities have been compiled with these will be announced. An area of land has been acquired at Stratford for housing, and two acres at Marton as the first instalment of the housing scheme there. Tenders also have been approved for the erection of a small group of houses at Timaru.
