“There is no doubt in mv mind that it will not he long before the Tasman is bridged by air.’’- said -Air. \V. 1. Aimer, the superintendent of the airways of the United States Bureau of Commerce, who is a through passenger by the Mariposa, from Sydney. . . Mr. ‘Miller visualises the linking o New Zealand, Australia, and the United States and Canada b,v one or more ail lines in the near future. He remarked to an interviewer that with a service between Australia and New Zealand the trip should he made possible by planes leaving either terminus in the morning and arriving in the afternoon. “It, will be found in all probability that high-altitude Hying will have to bo maintained to get the best passage above the storm areas,” he added.
