The “Smoke House Inn” is being built in the Girdle road in the Cameron Highlands, in the Straits Settlements. A swinging sign of traditional pattern will bear the name, and everything else will lie in keeping with it. The two-storey, shingle-roofed inn will have Tudor furniture to match its architecture and ingle-nook fireplaces in the bedrooms. Crazy paving will adorn a. garden planned to make the exile believe he is in Sussex.
