"The standard of the roads in thcHawke's Pay County is good," said the Minister of Internal Affairs, the lion. W E. Parry, who was taken last week l>\ members of the Hawke's Bay County Council on a. four of inspection over a wide range of the territory of the county. "The Waikohu-Darkie's Spin road, which was described to me as being one of the worst thoroughfares in the county, is comparatively good from the point of view of construction and condition, considering) the high country it traverses. With a little widening and the removal of the sharpness from some of the bends to meet the needs of increased traffic to come, there should not be, in my opinion, any difficulty with it."
