B RADIO STATIONS
STATE PURCHASE OFFERS
(Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. The opinion that the interests eontrolling the majority of stations, which ivere members of the Federation of h stations and which were not already subsidised by the Government, wouW follow the example of the Otago Radio Association and decline the Government's offer to purchase was expressed by the owners of two Auckland B radio stations last night.
Practically all the B stations have now received offers from the Government and in very few cases has the price been more than £IOOO. With perhaps one or two exceptions the offers are all under four figures and in most instances this represents little more than the value of the plant.
