FEDERAL REDUCTION
’PROTEST TTY STATES
WASHINGTON, March 6.
Following a conference between President Roosevelt and the Governors of six large industrial States, including New York, Ohio, and Rlinois, it is announced that the Federal Government will delay a plan radically to reduce the W..P.A. allowance.
The Governors bad insisted that their States were unable to bear the relief burden without a continuance of Federal aid. The suspensions planned for June may be definitely postponed.
