WHAREKOPAE ROMNEY STUD The WHAREKOPAE ROMNEY STUD was founded in 1920 by the purchase of 136 ewes and 21 ewe lambs at Mr. J. C. Field’s dispersal sale, Homebush. These were added In by 18 ewes and 20 ewe lambs secured at. Mr. J. Knight’s dispersal sale, Feilding, and 10 ewes from Mr. \V. D. Hunt’s dispersal sale, Invercargill. Rams used included some from famous studs such as those of the late Mr. Ernest Short, Feilding, Sir William Perry and Son, Penrose, Masterton, and Mr. A. Kirkpatrick, Gisborne.
