H. B. RENNER’S FLOCK 1091 NEW ZEALAND ROMNEY MARSH FLOCK BOOK \ . . Sri / 'fwstWMl RAM HOGGET FROM REPONGAERE FLOCK Bred for constitution and guaranteed bred on grass only. This flock was founded by the purchase of ewes at Mr. L. T. McLean’s dispersal sale (Flock No. 346, N.Z. Romney Marsh Flock Book), and careful selection was made in these purchases, up to 27gns having been paid for a single ewe, which had taken first prizes at both the Marton and Hawera shows. The progeny has been carefully mated, and the true Romney ehairnoteristics maintained. The ewes had their wool tested under the Massey College Benzol Test, with excellent results, and the broker’s report on this season’s ram hogget wool is as follows: — “The clink is uniform from britch to back, and is of desirable character, showing freedom from hair tip, also from kemp; is of especially good spinning quality and of uniform length.”
