A line of 1750 milk lambs from 2600 Te Ruanui Romney - cross ewes, giving a lambing percentage over 100%, went through the Gisborne Freezing Works during the first week of December last, averaging 321 bs. These lambs were off hill country ranging up to 1700 ft above sea level, and were all sired by Te Ruanui-bred rams.
