Britain wanted flying boats to be used throughout. including Iho Tasman section. Australia would adopt the advice of experts. Speaking personally, lie said that iho flying boat might be expected to have a psychological appeal, particularly over the Tasman. Ho considered that a service between Australia and New Zealand was both necessary and desirable. Tho question had a bearing on Empire defence, but he was not in a position to speak in relation to the project from the viewpoint of defence.
