A meeting of the Poverty Bay Early Settlers’ Association will be held next Saturday, when officers and a new committee will be elected to comply with the. rules of the association, which lias lieen registered as an incorporated society. The excitement at SI. Cutlibert’s College, Auckland, late on Thursday night, when one of the mistresses raised an alarm after hearing somebody on the premises, was caused by a, girl, aged about 15, who bad left her home in the vicinity and had gone into the college grounds, it, was stated that the girl had run away from home, and. seeing a light in the mistress’ room, had tapped on the window. She disappeared on realising an alarm had been raised.
