THEFT FROM OLD MAN
After drinking with an old man named James Brown Fletcher, at Blenheim, William Patrick Hunter, aged 32, labourer, assisted him to bed •at an hotel. Tn the mornings Fletcher discovered that bis trousers, containing money, were missing, and that a strange pair iiad been left. Hunter was subsequently charged with the theft of £2O in cash and of a pair of trousars, and was sentenced to six months.’ reformative detention.
