MAJOR'S LEAP TO DEATH LONDON, Aug. 1-1. "Wounded in the head in 1915, rejoined the Army after being invalided out, won the 1 M.C., grieved for the wife lie lost three years ago. That, in brii?f was the history of Major Janies Douglas, 50, who jumped from a window at Clarendon Court;, Maida. Vale, London, W., and was killed. Captain Emsley Brown, of Putney, a brother-in-law, stated at the inquest at Paddington yesterday, that Major Douglas was devoted to his wife. Since her death he had not been Iho same. Mr. Jngleby Oddic recorded a verdict, of suicide while of unsound mind.
