A charge «r being intoxicated in charge of a motor car was preferred against William John Cassidy, aged 2.6, labourer, in tTie, Blenheim Police Court. Accused’s car capsized down a bank near Seddon.

Accused wasi fined £ls and disqualified from holding a license for throe years. The magistrate said lie took into account accused's, previous good character and tho fact that ho suffered considerable injury when tho car capsized. “These cases appear to be on the increase, in spite of what tho magistrates aro saying,” said the magistrate. “It must bo assumed in these cases from now oil that imprisonment may be imposed.”
