Si ore sheep.—A good entry and a. sound sale lor ewes, which made np to 27s for sound mouthed and to 34s for 4 th. Ewes and lambs, all counted sold to ,17s Id. Forward wethers made to 28s 2d. this class appreciating by a shilling a head on last week. Fat, sheep: An entry of 4400 head, including southern lines. Last week’s prices were maintained over the early part, hnl, the demand slipped, over the later stages. Best wethers made to 435; good, 34s to 375; prime, medium weight, 30s to 33s 6d; best ewes, to 39s 4d; prime, 30s to 335; medium weights, 27s to 295 ; and ordinary, down to 22s 6d. Fat cattle.—A heavy' entry of 565 head, including much good quality. As a result of the heavy entry values receded by up to 30s for heavy steers and 20s for’ others. Best beef made 38s to 40s per IGOlh ; medium, 35s to 38s 6d; top price, £2O 2s 6d; prime heavy steers, £l4 to £l6 10s; prime medium weights, £l2 to £l3 10s; others down to £9; heifers, £8 to £l2 10s; cows, £7 10s to £ll ; best, to £l3 lCs.
