A large entry of hoggets sold readily at late rates. Extra prime made 28s 6d t.o 38s; heavy, 25s 3d to 325; medium, 25s 6d to 27s 6d; light, 23s to 255; small and plain, 17s to 22s 6d. An increased offering of spring lambs sold from 23s to 37s 9d ; the best price of the season.
Mginly small plain calves were auctioned at steady rales. Kunners made £3 to £8 10s ; heavy voalers, £5 to £5 16s; medium. £4- to £4 18s : light, £3 5s to £3 18s; smaller, £2 lo £3 6s; small and unfinished, £1 to £2 6s; bobby calves and rough 4s to 31s. A good demand for [figs arrested the recent- decline, particularly for baconers, which ranged from £3 10s to £4;
medium, £3 5s lo £3 12s : light £2 18s to £3 8s: choppers, £1 5s to £5 ; heavy porkers, £2 10s to £2 16s; medium, £2 3s to £2 9s: light. £1 15s to £2; small and unfinished, £.! 4s to £1 12s; stores, £1 2s to £1 14s; slips, 10s to 245; verniers. 12s to 21s; sows due to farrow. £3 to £3 15s; sows with litters. £4 to £5 2s 6d. Baconers averaged 1 sj}d to 6d ; and porkers, 6fd.
