"Now the land of your birth is expecting you to do the duty you have so eagerly awaited. .1 have no doubts about you, and am convinced that you have no doubts about your leaders. "Our enemies are getting into position, so be ready. Those on the frontiers keep watch." M. Voroshilov, the Soviet Commissar for War, Marshal Tuchachvsky, the chief of the General Staff, and M. Alksnis, the chief of the air force, also addressed the troops.
