As the result of an inquiry following the Pareora Steeples Handicap, Monastic, which finished second, was placed first, and Trisox, which finished first, was placed second, owing to accidental interference. Winchester Trot.—4 Vanity Fair (M. Holmes), 1; 6 King’s Drive, 2; 6 Lottie Guy, 3. Scratched: Aide de Camp, Royal Doulton and Guy Mauritius. Won by*a neck and two lengths. Time, 3.22 3-5. Farewell Handicap.—l Emissary (L, J. Ellis), 1; 5 Loehlaggan, 2 ; 11 'Moneyless. 3. Scratched: Queen of Song, Dollar Prince, and Metal Bird. Won by t.bree lengths and two lengths. Time, 1.12 2-5.
