WILLIAMSTOWN RACES NEW ZEALANDERS FAIL MELBOURNE, May 23. At the WilHamstown. races, Membo was third in the Autumn Steeplechase. Th following were unplaced: Revision, and Cape Race, in, the Kororoit Hurdles; ldavale, in the Juvenile Handicap; Greenhorn, in the Bay view Handicap, and Radiant and Desert Chief in the Gcllibrand Handicap. During the running of the Kororoit Hurdles, Heroic Prince, i\ former Australian Cup winner, was seriously injured and had to be destroyed. Palatinate was second in the Beach Welter, in which Whernsido was unplaced.
