INCREASE IN DEMAND There has been a- greatly increased demand in the Wftikato for dairy and mixed farms durirfg the past few weriks. A number of properties from 70 to .11.0 acres have' changed hands, several sales having been completed at figures in mo vicinity of £4O an acre. One farm of 60 acres at Cambridge was sold at £7O an acre as a going concern. Although there has been a fairly steady inquiry for ■ Waikato land dining the past, 12 months there is now a ditforeiif type of buyer op the market. Purchasers are now offering larger deposits and in a number of eases are apparently turning to farming as a suitable means of investing their capital. Although there is still a market for undeveloped proportion the typo of buyer now active, .prefers to purchase a property of 70 to 200 .acres as a going concern.
