MOTOR CRASH VICTIM DEATH AFTER 3 WEEKS (Per Press Association.) N AUCKLAND, this day. Constable John Albert Elstone, aged 45 .years, who was in charge of the Kawakawa police district, died in a private hospital at Auckland from bloodpoisoning following a double fracture of bis left leg sustained on February 12 when a motor-cycle he was riding collided with another motor-cycle near Pakaraka. He was a patient, at the Bay of Islands Hospital until Monday last, when he was brought to Auckland. He leaves a- wife and three children. He was a member of the Police Force for 17 years, serving at Wellington, Napier, Feiiding and Fcatherston. He served in the Great War with the Main Body of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. The other cycle involved in the acci- , dent was ridden by John Percy Joh.rt.n- ---| sen, Who is still in hospital, one leg having been amputated.
