Stapp, whose death occurred at ( ;hristcniirch, at the age of IV, 'was formerly duel clerk of the Post and Telegraph Department in Christdiurcli, and held many important posts in the service. Mr. Stapp was born, in London and came to New Zealand wfth.' A his parents when he Was four years old. " l He joined the staff of the Post and Telegraph Department at Nelson in 1878 and later held important positions.
